CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela -- The local chief executive of this province has expressed thanks to the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) Ilagan branch for contributing to the continuous development of Isabela.

Governor Faustino G. Dy III, during the blessing and inauguration of the DBP Ilagan branch building located in Barangay Osmeña, on Monday said he had witnessed how Isabela had grown economically since 1962 with the bank’s presence in the province.

“This DBP building is already part of the history of Isabela as it is the first bank present in Isabela that has extended help to Isabelinos,” he said.

The DBP, according to the governor, has extended loans to Isabelino entrepreneurs and farmers and provided “the needed facilities in education, agriculture and other sectors, thus, lifting the economic conditions of families".

Dy also requested the DBP to put up a branch in Cauayan City so the programs and services of the bank could be delivered to other Isabelinos. This was in addition to the existing two DBP branches here in Ilagan and Santiago City. (PNA)
