Imus city slates 'Junior Chef' summer training on April 16

IMUS CITY, Cavite – The city government of Imus, through its Imus Vocational and Technical School (IVTS), has started accepting 100 applicants for its Junior Chef Training classes, which will begin on April 16.

Vilma Jacama, IVTS Unit head, said the yearly summer course would be conducted at the main hall of the IVTS at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) building, next to the Emilio Aguinaldo High School.

The training comes with a minimal fee, but it already covers cost for the trainors and the needed materials, added Jacama.

The 100 enrollees will be divided into 4 batches of 25 individuals each, who will undertake a 5-day training.

As part of the requirements, the applicants must bring a photocopy of their birth certificate, 1pc 2x2 ID picture, proof of residency of parents and duly accomplished form.

Trainees will have their graduation rites tentatively on May 2, also at the IVTS Hall.

Imuseǹos 16 years old and above may avail of the 23 different training courses offered by the IVTS from bread and pastries, hairdressing, housekeeping, bookkeeping and automotive among others.

Enrollment for adults is ongoing this April, with classes to start in May. (PNA)
