Gov't worker arrested in drug buy-bust

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur -- Policemen have arrested a government employee listed as a high-value target drug personality in the nearby town of Dimataling, an official announced Wednesday.

Insp. Jeremias Pepito, Dimataling Police chief, identified the suspect as Roberto Patalot, 52, a municipal casual employee.

Pepito said Patalot was arrested in a buy-bust operation late Tuesday in sitio Quarry, Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling.

Seized from Patalot’s possession were PHP500 in marked money, and suspected shabu packed in eight transparent plastic sachets.

The suspect was among the drug personalities who voluntarily surrendered through Operation Plan “Tok-tok, Hangyo (Tokhang)”.

Patalot was detained at the lock-up cell of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the provincial police office as appropriate charges are set to be filed against him. (PNA)
