CAMP GEN. VICENTE LIM, Calamba City – The new Police Regional Office (PRO4A)-Calabarzon Regional Director’s (RD) Hotline dubbed “Pulis na Abusado, at Pusher na Pang-Asar… Agad i-text mo, kay General Eleazar!" was launched at this police regional headquarters camp here Friday.

Chief Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, PRO4A regional director, led the regional police force officials and personnel in the unveiling and official activation of the RD Hotline in line with the directive of the PNP chief, Director General Oscar David Albayalde, on their intensified Internal Cleansing Program (ICP) and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's war on drugs and criminality.

Eleazar conceptualized the RD’s hotline to encourage the public to report erring members of Calabarzon police and illegal drugs personalities in their neighborhood.

“This hotline was opened to persuade the public to get involve thru giving of information vital in our focus of weeding our ranks of rogue police officers and to gather information that would lead us to the illegal drugs personalities,” Eleazar said.

While the RD’s Hotline centers its operation on police scalawags and illegal drugs peddlers, the Calabarzon police regional director assured that the public that other concerns will be given attention and appropriate action.

"Itinataya ko ang aking pangalan dito (I am putting my name on the line) and I am assuring the public that we are 100% committed to this project," he said.
Eleazar also assured the public that they will focus on all information, suggestion, complaints or grievances reaching their office, warning that he will personally relieve the chiefs of police if they do not act on public complaints.

The official launching also featured the unveiling of the huge tarpaulin board on the vital hotline numbers and public guidance at the camp grounds, which tarp board will be replicated in all other police stations across Calabarzon region and the blessing of the RD's Hotline Office inside the Regional Intelligence Division Office.

The RD Hotline is under the auspices of the Counter-Intelligence Section, which officially oversees the operations together with the Regional Police Community Relations Division and the Regional Public Information Office.

A dedicated and competent team of personnel will man the new communication’s strategic center 24/7 tasked to evaluate the information received and refer it to the concerned office and/or proper authority for validation and prompt action.

They will also monitor and make sure all information will be acted upon with utmost confidentiality.

"I am appealing to the public to support us in this undertaking (as) we could not do this alone. Let us take advantage and make good use of today's technology, the gadgets and the tools available to us for a noble cause,” he said.

“We could not place a single police officer in every corner and streets, and so we want our public to help us by being our eyes and ears on the ground."
