MANILA -- Tropical depression (TD) “Domeng” will bring moderate to occasional heavy rains in most parts of the country Wednesday as it maintains its strength and moves north-northwest over the Philippine Sea towards the country.

In its 11 a.m. severe weather bulletin, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the center of "Domeng" was last spotted 805 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar with maximum sustained winds of 45 kms near the center and gustiness up to 60 kms as it moves northwest at 15 km per hour.

The regions of Eastern Visayas and Bicol will be cloudy with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms caused by the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and "Domeng".

It said that while "Domeng" is less likely to make landfall, it may trigger strong southwesterly windflow or habagat that will bring moderate to occasional heavy rains over the Mimaropa region and Western Visayas beginning Thursday, and over the rest of the western section of Luzon, including Metro Manila on Friday.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 24-34 degrees Celcius; Tuguegarao City 26-36 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 17-25 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 26-31 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 26-32 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
