Lucena City employs graduates with honors

LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Mayor Roderick Alcala has introduced the new city employees who graduated with Latin honors “cum laude” and with distinction from the Dalubhasaan ng Lungsod ng Lucena (DLL) this school year following the flag-raising ceremony Monday.

Alcala said the new graduates were absorbed by the city government and temporarily assigned at the City Mayor's Office.

The new employees who graduated cum Laude from their respective courses were Marc Dominic Magat, James Jemuel Antiporda, Aladdin Dominguez, Edgar Allan Dechavez and John Paul Dator.

Those who graduated with Academic Distinction include Rogelio Malaay Jr., Ma. Niña Suarez, Ma. Maikee Chavez, Rick Anthony Misiera, Harly Bell Eballa, Sydhel Quejada, Ma. Joanne Erilla and Princess Villanueva with Academic Merit Award.

Alcala earlier directed City Administrrator Anacleto Alcala Jr. to reserve the positions for these graduates at the city government.

He added that those with Academic Distinction have already passed the Civil Service Eligibility Exam while those who graduated with Latin honors were automatically civil service eligible pursuant to the Honor Graduate Eligibility (HGE) under Presidential Decree (PD) No. 907 dated March 11, 1976, making them qualified for government employment.
