MANILA -- Barangay Ginebra completed a 2-0 sweep of its best-of-three PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinal series against Meralco Bolts with a 104-90 Game 2 win at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday night.

The Barangay banked on a 32-point second quarter blast and limited the Bolts to just 14 in the third period to book the second seat in the semifinals starting this weekend.

Justin Brownlee led Ginebra, which will await the winner of the knockout showdown between GlobalPort and Rain Or Shine on Thursday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City in the next round, with 36 points, six rebounds, nine assists, and three steals.

Greg Slaughter added 14 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Arinze Onuaku made 21 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, one block, and one steal for Meralco, but he, too, committed six turnovers. (PNA)
