P170-K drugs seized from teenager-pusher in Laguna

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IV-A (Calabarzon) arrested a teenager and a minor during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay II-A here on Sunday.

PDEA 4A Regional Director Adrian G. Alvariño, in a report submitted to PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, identified the suspects as Rainiel Ambal Sapiniano, 20, single and resident of Barangay Bagumbayan, and a minor who is from Barangay II, both in this city.

PDEA operatives arrested the duo after they sold some 25 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, with an estimated value of PHP170,000 to a poseur-buyer.

Also seized were six plastic sachets of suspected marijuana leaves weighing about six grams, and the PHP2,000 used as buy-bust money during the entrapment operation.

The suspects are now facing a case for violation for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 paragraph b (Conspiracy to Sell), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia). (PNA)
