CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan  -- Heavy rains spawned by Tropical Depression "Henry" caused the suspension of classes in all levels and work in all government agencies in Bulacan on Tuesday afternoon.

An advisory released by the Provincial Public Affairs Office (PPAO) of Bulacan said at 11:25 a.m. on Tuesday, acting governor Daniel Fernando ordered the suspension due to continuous heavy rains.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) is still monitoring the flooded areas in Bulacan and has no available reports yet on flooded roads as of noontime Tuesday.

Meanwhile,  Vice Governor Fernando will be the acting chief executive of Bulacan in the next two weeks as Governor Wilhelmino Sy Alvarado has filed a two-week leave of absence starting Monday.

PPAO head Maricel Cruz confirmed that the governor will go to the United States  to attend to family matters. (PNA)
