MANILA -- The Philippine National Railways (PNR) suspended its train service Tuesday amid heavy rains caused by the southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical depression "Henry".

There is no train service as of 2:30 p.m. according to an advisory of the PNR.

“Northbound tracks of Dimasalang and Paco are not yet certified to be passable due to high water level,” the PNR said on its official Facebook page.

The railway management earlier reported that flooding had occurred at Magsaysay crossing, Paco station, and Dimasalang in Manila. The PNR line traverses Tutuban and Alabang.

State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has raised a Yellow Rainfall Warning over Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Bulacan, and Pampanga due to the threat of flooding. (PNA)
