21 suspects bagged in Bulacan police drug stings

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS,  Bulacan -- Twenty-one drug suspects were arrested Wednesday in separate buy-bust operations by the Bulacan police as part of its continuous and intensified anti-illegal drugs drive. 

Senior Superintendent  Chito G. Bersaluna, acting director of Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said the municipal police stations of Plaridel, Santa Maria, Baliwag, Calumpit, Guiguinto, Angat, and of the cities of Malolos, Meycauayan and San Jose Del Monte conducted buy-bust operations amid inclement weather.

"Despite heavy rains brought by 'habagat' (monsoon) and low pressure area, our intensified illegal drug operations continue and our operatives will never stop," Bersaluna said.

He identified the 21 arrested suspects as Fernando Dela Cruz; Alfie Clara; Corazon Zulueta; Angel Gonzales; Ryan Hermo; Ralph Anthony Dimaapi; Erwin Larang; Christian Leona; Jonathan Cardenas; Leandro Villanueva; Rodelio Alcanar; Raymond Sta. Maria; Alex Rehente; Dennis Discalzo; Orlando Eugenio ; Jose Leonides Angeles; Joel Santiago; Erickson Bausin; Jay Sebuguera; Jeffrey Ramos; and Janella Pablo.

Fifty heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” and buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects during the operations.

The 21 nabbed individuals now face criminal complaints for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for examination. (PNA)
