Minor, 3 others nabbed in Pampanga drug bust

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Police arrested four suspected drug pushers and confiscated from them some PHP1.3 million worth of shabu in an anti-illegal drugs operation outside a mall in the City of San Fernando on Monday evening.

Joint operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, led by Supt. Rommel Batangan, and the City of San Fernando Police Station arrested the suspects in a buy-bust operation conducted at Sky Ranch SM Pampanga, in Barangay San Jose, City of San Fernando.

Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, director of the Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon), identified the arrested suspects as Abdillah Omar, tricycle driver and resident of Block 6-Lot 44, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Dasmariñas, Cavite; Mariam Baltao, Amenoding Amer and a minor, all residents of New San Jose, Dinalupihan, Bataan.

Confiscated from the  suspects were three transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a total weight of 201.345 grams and with an estimated street value of PHP1,369,146 (per PHP6,800/grams) and marked money.

Cases for violation of Section 5 and 11 Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were filed against the suspects at the City Prosecutor’s Office.

“We are continuously conducting proactive operations as we are committed to wipe out if not prevent the proliferation of all forms of illegal drugs in the region,” Corpus added. (PNA)
