MANILA -- The administration has set its sights on an October launch for the one-form application for selected government transactions, Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez said Tuesday.

On the sidelines of the One Town, One Product Philippines Hub, Lopez said the design team continues to discuss with participating agencies their particular information requirements, which will be reflected on the final version of the form.

“The design team targets that by October we can produce this one-form application,” Lopez said in Filipino.

“The information requirement [for each agency] should be the basic [information], and consolidate it in one form,” he added.

The trade chief mentioned that this one-form application for government transaction will be helpful in starting a business and getting business permits, making the processes much easier.

Lopez said after streamlining the information in government offices, the administration also aims to streamline the registration and payment.

Since the start of the administration, President Rodrigo Duterte directed all government offices to make their transactions easier.

In May, Duterte enacted into law the Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

The new law aims to streamline transactions and reduce processing time in all public offices, including local government units (LGUs) and government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs).

It has “3-7-20” rule, wherein simple transaction shall be delivered within three days; seven days for complex transactions; and 20 days for highly-technical transactions. (PNA)
