BINAN CITY, Laguna -- Just as JPV Marikina is preparing for its battle against Global Cebu, the Philippine Football League (PFL) gave the league's lone Metro Manila representative a bad news.

The PFL slapped a three-point deduction to Marikina "for failing to comply with the LFI Disciplinary Committee Decision No. 010318DC02 in relation to Article 64 Paragraph 1 to 3 of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Disciplinary Code."

Article 64 of the PFF Disciplinary Code talks about sanctions to be meted out if someone, whether a person or a corporate body like a club, fails to comply with a decision, whether financial or non-financial, made by either a body, a committee, or even either of the PFF, Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

Marikina is set to take on Cebu later Wednesday at the Binan Football Stadium here. (PNA)
