MANILA -- With one week left before the end of the transfer window, Davao pulled off a huge signing news by acquiring Daniel Gadia from Global Cebu.

The former UP midfielder, who began his PFL stint with Meralco Manila before moving to Cebu earlier this year following the club's disbanding, first posted the development on his Facebook account. Davao later confirmed the news.

Gadia will reunite with his fellow ex-Cebu player Patrick Deyto, who earlier joined Davao, which is making a late push to clinch the second spot in the league table that still has a bearing, in terms of the race for a spot, in next year's AFC Cup.

On the other hand, Cebu, which is once again reeling from the loss of a key player, is battling Iloilo at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona as of posting. (PNA)
