2 arrested drug pushers yield P130K worth of shabu in GenTri City

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite - Two suspected street drug pushers were collared by local drug enforcement unit (DEU) here during buy-bust operations at Tropical Village Pabahay (housing site) in Barangay San Francisco in this city Monday evening.

Supt. Paul Bometivo, local police chief here identified the two street-level target (SLT) drug peddlers as Norsia Mila Banasing alias “Nanu” and Vandhar Jalmaani Hassan, alias “Vandhar,” who were caught in possession of illegal drugs around 8 p.m. in the said village.

In an interview, Bometivo said the city DEU team recovered six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected ‘shabu’ weighing around 20 grams, with an approximate street value of PHP 130,000.

The two suspects are now detained at the GenTri detention cell as they await charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.” (Dennis Abrina/PNA)
