DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite - A 54-year-old mother and her 22-year-old son were arrested by city police drug enforcers Tuesday evening during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Fe here.
City chief of police, Supt. Nerwin Ricohermoso, said the tandem were caught conspiring to sell the illegal drug, popularly known as “shabu”, in the residential area to a poseur-buyer during the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) Project Double Barrel and drug bust operation.
Ricohermoso identified the drug peddler mother as Nancy Ando Mahusay and her son John Vincent Ando Mahusay, both Barangay Sta. Fe residents.
CDEU operatives also confiscated from the mother 31 small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the PHP 300 buy-bust money while her son yielded 10 sachets of suspected shabu.
Police are now preparing the criminal complaints against the two suspected drug pushers for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Section 5 and 11) or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002” to be filed before the City Prosecutors Office here. (Dennis Abrina/PNA)
