2 LPAs, southwest monsoon to bring rain over the weekend: PAGASA

MANILA -- It is going to be a rainy weekend in most parts of the country as two low pressure areas (LPAs) and the southwest monsoon or habagat will bring light to moderate rains.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPAs were last observed at 95 kilometers west northwest of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro and at 620 kms. northeast of Basco, Batanes.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas will be cloudy with scattered rains and thunderstorm caused by the LPA and southwest monsoon.

The rest of the country will have cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorm.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-30 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 24-33 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-23 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 26-31 degrees Celsius and Metro Davao 24-33 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
