CAMP GEN. MALVAR, Batangas City – Law enforcers seized some PHP2-million worth of suspected shabu during the serving of arrest warrant against Batangas' No. 3 Most Wanted Person at his residence in Barangay Wawa, this city, on Thursday.

Senior Supt. Edwin Quilates, Batangas provincial police director, identified the arrested most wanted person as Jojo Alvarez Mallorca, who is also tagged as a high-value target in the city.

Quilates said the city police station, led by its chief of police Supt. Sancho Celedio, served the warrant of arrest around 9:30 p.m. on Mallorca, whom police also tagged as the No. 1 on their most wanted person list in the “Manhunt Charlie” operations.

According to Celedio, Mallorca also has a standing warrant of arrest for two counts of murder, illegal possession of firearms under Republic Act 10591, or the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act,” and Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Celedio said the arresting team also recovered from the suspect two big transparent plastic sachets of suspected ‘shabu’ weighing around 300 grams with an approximate value of PHP2.04 million.

The illegal drugs were stacked in a black pouch, he said adding that they also seized a caliber .45 Armscor pistol with serial number 1109540, and magazine containing seven live ammunition for the same caliber from the suspect. (Jojo C. Magsombol/PNA)
