MANILA -- Singapore-based AnyMind Group, a provider of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in advertising, marketing, and human resource (HR) industries, has opened its office in Manila -- its 13th in Asia.

AnyMind Philippines Country Manager Phuong Nguyen told the Philippine News Agency in an e-mail that its operation here aims to provide support to its existing and future clients while the firm is also localizing its solutions for the Philippine market.

“[We] immediately experienced a healthy demand for localized support from the Philippines for our solutions,” said Nguyen.

“We are localizing our products including CastingAsia, AdAsia Premium Marketplace, the AdAsia Digital Platform for Publishers and TalentMind,” she added.

She noted that AnyMind is setting up shop in the Philippines at a time when digital advertising in Southeast Asia and India is expected to grow by 18 percent in the next two years.

She added that the AI-based technology firm is optimistic about the Philippine market as digital transformation in the country is projected to contribute USD8 billion in its gross domestic product, as reported by Microsoft and IDC.

“The Philippines was always part of our expansion plan, as we realized from afar the growth in digital adoption here,” said Nguyen.

“We have also noticed a sound willingness from current clients in the Philippines to adopt new technologies including AI and digital platform solutions to take their advertising, marketing, or even HR activities to the next level,” she added.

“We’re at a very interesting moment in the Philippines, where the general public is curious about new technology and how it benefits them, and we’re looking to bring the right solutions to solve specific need,” Nguyen told the PNA.

The 29-month-old startup is likewise positive in the business environment for startups here.

Nguyen noted that there is also a growing and robust startup environment in the country, which are also looking into expanding both locally and abroad.

“In recent years, we have also seen government-driven initiatives towards creating a more fertile startup ecosystem, with innovation at its forefront. This is encouraging not just for local startups, but overseas startups looking to establish a presence in the Philippines,” Nguyen said.

“Coupled with market readiness and willingness to adopt new innovations, this provides a perfect environment for startups and businesses looking to provide value,” she concluded. (PNA)
