MANAOAG, Pangasinan -- The province’s 4th Congressional District office, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), is bringing mobile skills training to the towns and cities of the fourth district through the “Kabuhayan on Wheels”.

The livelihood program, which aims to give sufficient skills training for interested individuals who are eager to learn and undergo various skill courses offered by TESDA, was launched at the Manaoag Sports Complex in this town on Thursday.

“Some of the skills training that our ‘Kabuhayan on Wheels’ would give to our kabaleyans (townmates) are facial make-up services, hair cutting services, and nail care services,” Rep. Christopher de Venecia told reporters in an interview.

De Venecia said he is confident that through the newly launched livelihood program, the trainees would be able to start their own businesses with the considerable amount of skills they will learn soon after they finish their training.

“These trainees have much potential for their growth. They would no longer spend money for enrolment and fare because the program itself would approach them,” he said.

De Venecia added that truck carrying equipment and instructors will be deployed to the entire Pangasinan fourth congressional district’s barangays.
