SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique provincial office is opening seven more Negosyo Centers (NCs) this week.

Lynna Joy Cardinal, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI Antique, said two NCs opened in the towns of Anini-y and Belison on Tuesday.

“This week there will be a series of NC opening in the seven towns of the province,” Cardinal said, adding that the succeeding opening will be led by DTI’s Provincial Director Mercedes Young.

Other NCs that will be opened within the week are in the towns of Bugasong and San Remigio, September 19; Laua-an and Barbaza, September 20; and in Tobias Fornier on September 21.

DTI Antique provincial office is aiming to be the first province in Western Visayas to have established NCs in all of the 18 municipalities of the province before the end of September.

The establishment of the NCs is in adherence to Republic Act No. 10644 for the purpose that small and medium entrepreneurs could have easier access in registering their business names right in their own municipalities.

Entrepreneurs could also be provided with access on trainings for business conceptualization and feasibility, financing, management, capability building, human resources, and marketing.

The first NC in Antique was established in San Jose de Buenavista right at the DTI provincial office on Apr. 29, 2016. (PNA)
