BAGUIO CITY -- Dasmariñas City grabbed three gold medals in the standard chess tournaments in the Batang Pinoy National Championships here.

After the final round of the event on Thursday, Kylen Mordido's victory in the girls’ under-15 division highlighted Dasmariñas' domination.

Mordido scored 4.5 points on four victories and one draw, enough to edge Rhea Rafols of General Santos City, who got four points on three wins and two draws.

Josemier Panol of Pasig prevailed after a three-way tie for third was broken to capture the bronze.
Panol was tied with Laguna's Jiessel Marino and Danao's Alphecca Gonzales with three points, but Panol took the tiebreaker after she had the better Buchholz Cut 1 score among the three.
