MANILA -- Local carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) has released some guidelines and tips for their passengers to avoid the hassle during the observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

"We are anticipating a surge in passenger volume due to the long weekend," CEB spokesperson Charo Lagamon told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Friday.

The airline said passengers can opt for online check-in, whether through mobile or web, to speed up the procedure.

Mobile and web check-in are both available seven to four days before an international flight, and up to an hour before a domestic flight.

Passengers who will use the mobile or web check-in could drop off their baggage at least 45 minutes before their scheduled flight. But they need to show up at the check-in counter an hour before their flight, so they could present their travel documents.

Check-in counters will close 45 minutes before the flight schedule, while boarding gates will close 15 minutes before the scheduled flight departure, the advisory added.

Also, to avoid inconvenience, CEB reminds passengers about its "one hand-carry" baggage policy. Medical items, canes, foldable walkers, and items purchased inside the airport will be allowed on top of the one hand-carry baggage allowance.

Passengers may approach CEB roving agents for any concerns. (PNA)
