BOCAUE, Bulacan -- Swimmer Jasmine Alkhaldi will swing back to serious practice, baring that she is set for a two-leg European training.

"This is my first training trip abroad," the 25-year-old Olympic swimmer, who was one of the muses of Blackwater, said on Sunday during the opening of the new Philippine Basketball Association season at the Philippine Arena here.

Ever Bilena, the company behind Blackwater, is supporting Alkhaldi's Euro trip, which will last for a month. She is set to leave early this week.

"I’m probably going to leave tomorrow or the next day," she said.

For some details about the trip, Alkhaldi said, "The first part is in Spain. The second part is in Italy."

However, it is not yet the end of the road for her, training-wise, as she has another training camp to take place later this year.

"We're planning for one more in summer and maybe one more right before the SEA Games," she added.

She also bared that she is set to compete in a "tuneup" race in Singapore this March.

Alkhaldi, who has been in two Olympics and three Asian Games - including the recent edition last year in Jakarta, looks to finally taking the gold medal in this year's SEA Games in Capas, Tarlac.

"I'm hoping that this will be my time," she said. (PNA)
