MANILA -- Chemical and food ingredient manufacturer D&L Industries has renewed its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditation, as it looks to expand its export capability.

“With the accreditation, analyses performed by D&L’s analytical laboratory comply with international standards. This supports the facilitation of trade and entry of Philippine products into foreign markets,” the company said in a statement.

The firm’s ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation from the Philippine Accreditation Bureau refers to the international standard for competence in laboratory testing, and demonstrates that its laboratory testing capabilities and management system follow global best practices.

D&L Industries said the accreditation will also allow it to offer its laboratory testing services, and to serve as third party laboratory to a wider range of customers from various industries, including industrial oils, edible fats and oils, plastics, packaging, pipes, paints and coatings.

The company is building its PHP8-billion expansion facility in Tanauan, Batangas as it ramps up its export business and focuses on higher value and higher margin products.

The project construction and commissioning will be scheduled for completion by 2021.

D&L Industries aims to have its export business contributing half of its revenues by 2025. (PNA)
