Tail-end of cold front, NE monsoon to bring rains over PH Friday

MANILA -- Two weather systems are affecting the country Friday.

The tail-end of a cold front is affecting the Bicol region and eastern Visayas and the northeast monsoon for the rest of Luzon.

In its 4 a.m. forecast Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Bicol and eastern Visayas would have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the tail-end of a cold front.

The regions of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera, the provinces of Aurora and Quezon, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from 23 degrees to 31 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 20 degrees to 26 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 13 degrees to 24 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25 degrees to 30 degrees Celsius; Metro Davao 25 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
