MANILA — Super Eagles and Ghana stayed perfect in the 7's Football League after beating their respective opponents in Match Day 4 at the McKinley Hill Stadium in Taguig City on Sunday night.

Super Eagles blasted H&J All-Stars, 8-0, while Ghana romped shorthanded Matu Deportivo, 5-1, to go 4-0 in the standings.

Ebi Cleopas and Stanley Eden's braces led Super Eagles to the rout of H&J.

Uzo Okoli, Charles Ujam, Olisa Anene, and Tony Okoh also scored goals for the defending champions.

"It’s all about teamwork. One person cannot take all the glory," Eden said.

Meanwhile, Coach Danny Kross said his team was not taking the overwhelming favorite tag.

"The strategy is just the same thing: we take every team seriously," Kross said.

On the other hand, Emmanuel Mbata, Sam Bonney, Sam Junior, Solomon Tetteh, and Henoc Dabo each made one goal for Ghana, which is looking to better its runner-up finish last season.

But for James Ankrah, a tweak in his team's game plan worked wonders.

"We played three back just to hold on first and see what we can do. We tried to rotate the ball around for them to get tired and then we started pushing forward," Ankrah, who plays centerback, said.

Matu Deportivo dearly missed the services of key players, including Nico Bolzico, as the team fell to 3-1.

In other results, Stallion Laguna and Futbol Fanatics barged to the win column.

Laguna stunned Laro, 4-2, while Fanatics pipped winless Superbad, 6-1, right on player Abed Gboko's birthday.

Gboko even scored one for Fanatics and celebrated it in style.

"[Yesterday was] my birthday and I really want to enjoy.... that’s why I was dancing," Gboko said.

Meanwhile, Bohemian rallied to beat Tondo, 4-2, to go up to 3-1, while Real Amigos blanked Ceres Negros, 3-0, to go 2-2 in the table. (PNA)
