MANILA -- Joshua Pacio vowed to become a better fighter when he collides again with Yosuke Saruta at the ONE: Roots of Honor at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Friday night.

Pacio said he was surprised that his Japanese opponent, who was just a replacement fighter in their first meeting last January, is that good.

"The last time na nagharap kami, medyo na-caught off-guard ako. Na-out of focus ako (The last time we faced off, I was somehow caught off-guard, so I got out of focus)," he said ahead of their rematch for the ONE strawweight title.

"Ngayon, I'm more focused and confident. Hindi na ako maghe-hesitate na ibato kung ano man yung nasa isip ko (Now, I’m more focused and confident. I will not hesitate anymore to throw what I have in mind) and I will stick to our game plan," he added.

Pacio said his game plan will still be the one he and Team Lakay planned the last time.

"Makikita niyo (You will see it) this Friday," he said. (PNA)
