MANILA -- San Miguel Beermen banked on a huge endgame push to edge Phoenix Fuel Masters, 92-82, in Game 2 of the Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup semifinals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Monday night.

The Beermen pulled off a 16-6 run in the end to break a 76-all deadlock en route to the victory.

Marcio Lassiter made 24 points, seven rebounds, and three assists for SMB, which now leads, 2-0, in the best-of-seven series ahead of the Holy Week break.

Junemar Fajardo added 19 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks.

Calvin Abueva put up 16 markers, 10 boards, six dimes, three steals, and two blocks for Phoenix, but had seven turnovers. (PNA)
