Magnolia sizzles in Q4 to beat ROS in PH Cup semis

MANILA -- Magnolia Hotshots averted a 0-3 hole in the Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup semifinals after finally edging Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters, 85-74, in Game 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Tuesday night.

The Hotshots outscored the Elasto Painters, 28-11, in the fourth quarter to cut the latter's series lead at 2-1 entering the Holy Week break.

Ian Sangalang and Paul Lee each scored 16 markers for Magnolia.

Javee Mocon tallied 18 points, nine rebounds, and two assists for ROS.

Both teams will meet again for Game 4 on Monday night. (PNA)
