MANILA -- Junemar Fajardo believes that his sixth consecutive Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup Best Player of the Conference award is a blessing for him.

"Sobrang blessed ko na nakuha ko yung BPC (I am so blessed to get the BPC)," the San Miguel center said.

Fajardo also thanked his fellow Beermen, saying the award would not be possible without support from his teammates and the staff.

"'Di ko naman makukuha yun kung 'di dahil sa kanila (I won't get the award if not for them)," Fajardo said.

The 6-foot-10 Cebuano native was an overwhelming winner, totaling 1,165 points from the statistical points and the votes from the media, the players, and the PBA Commissioner's Office.

The second placer, NorthPort's Sean Anthony, only got 641 points.

However, Fajardo reiterated that the real prize is the championship for the Beermen.

On Wednesday night, Fajardo put up such worthy numbers, dropping 31 points on 13-of-14 shooting with 14 rebounds, one assist, and one block in the 114-98 win by SMB over Magnolia in Game 4 of the finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

"Nasunod namin 'yung game plan namin. Nag-step-up lahat ng mga teammates ko (We executed the game plan. All my teammates stepped up)," Fajardo said.

The result forced a 2-all tie in the best-of-seven series. (PNA)
