MANILA -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday conferred badges to 106 new officers during the 14th PDEA Academy Commencement Exercises for Drug Enforcement Officers Basic Course (DEOBC).

PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino said the new agents, belonging to DEOBC Batch 2018-14, comprises 66 females and 40 males.

“They will be assigned to the different regional offices as part of our enhancement capability to fully address the drug problem,” Aquino said, adding that the agency has a continuous recruitment program for drug enforcement officers to augment the present strength of newly established airport and seaport units in provincial offices.

Aquino congratulated the 106 agents of DEOBC 2018-14 LIYAB-DIWA, the fourteenth batch of drug enforcement officers who successfully completed six months of training at the PDEA Academy under the leadership of officer-in-charge Lirio Ilao.
