DAVAO CITY -- Undefeated Roy “Petty Boy” Nagulman of Ifugao will fight Aries Buenavidez of Davao City for the Global Boxing Organization (GBO) bantamweight on June 15 at The Enderun Tent of Azuela Cove in Lanang this city.

In his last fight on March 19 in Nueva Vizcaya, the 17-year-old Nagulman (8W-0L-1D, 6KO) knocked out Bukidnon’s Angelito Merin to win the interim Philippine Boxing Federation bantamweight title.

Nagulman also earlier stopped Makati’s Albert Alcoy in the 5th round in the January bout in Lagawe.

Nagulman’s first fight was only settled in a majority draw with La Union’s Danny Boy Tan in 2017.

From then on, Nagulman won all the fights including six knockouts or technical knockouts.

Buenavidez (12W-3L-0D, 7KO), on the other hand, won by a split decision over Lone Cadayday on March 23 in Pasay City.

He also retired Cotabato’s Jestonie Makiputin on Aug. 21, 2018, in Davao City.

The 36-year-old Buenavidez, however, lost by a unanimous decision to Arnold Garde in the vacant PBF flyweight title on June 29 in Maco, Compostela Valley.

The 12-round championship fight on June 15 is promoted by Rey Rodis Sr. of RED Boxing Promotions.

Pitted in the main event is the title fight between Ronald “The American Dream” Johnson (15W-1L-0D, 4KO) of the United States against Saul “El Fenix Asesino” Farah (69W-23L-3D, 60KO) of Bolivia for the GBO heavyweight title clash. (PNA)
