'Drug surrenderer' nabbed in Iligan police op

ILIGAN CITY -- A former drug surrenderer was arrested Friday afternoon during a joint anti-drug buy-bust operation here, police said.
 
Captain Aiman Pantaran, chief of Iligan City Police Station 4, identified the suspect as Mabaning Limbona, 29, a resident of Lanao del Sur.

Pantaran said Limbona yielded sachets of shabu weighing more than 50 grams during the buy-bust in Barangay Poblacion here.
 
Limbona denied he owned the confiscated items, but he admitted to being a drug surrenderer in Leyte where he previously resided.
 
Pantaran said they are investigating whether the suspect was involved in the shipment of illegal drugs as he was apprehended outside a courier service office. (PNA)
