MANILA -- The long wait is over for Hallyu (Korean wave) fans in the country as South Korean actor Park Bo-gum arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Thursday morning.

Park was seen smiling and waving at his fans and staff at the airport. He used the regular passenger's exit door in leaving the airport.

His first meeting with Filipinos was supposedly scheduled for April 27. However, due to earthquakes that hit Luzon and Visayas that month, his agency decided to postpone the event and was later rescheduled to June 22.

"We made this decision because we think the safety of our fans is the most important," Blossom Entertainment said in its announcement last April.

Manila is the last leg of the actor’s “2019 Good Day Asia Tour”. He earlier met with his fans in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Taiwan.

This is the 26-year-old South Korean heartthrob's second time to visit the Philippines. In 2016, Park and the cast of "Love in the Moonlight" traveled to Cebu for a short vacation.

Aside from "Love in the Moonlight", Park also starred in the television dramas "Encounter", “Reply 1988”, and “I Remember You”. (PNA)
