COTABATO CITY – Authorities here nabbed Tuesday morning two suspected gunrunners during an entrapment operation in Purok Pagalungan, Barangay Bagua 1.
Capt. Alexon Bora, Police Station 4 commander, identified the arrested suspects as Salik Mangkay and Ali Bangrad, both local residents.
Seized from the suspects was the .45-caliber pistol they dealt with a police agent posing as a gun buyer and the PHP12,000 boodle money.
“We immediately pounced on the duo following the exchange,” Bora said.
He said charges for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) are being prepared against the suspects. (PNA)
