DIGOS CITY -- Authorities said they arrested Davao del Sur's second most wanted drug personality through the serving of a search warrant in Malalag town on Friday morning.
Police Maj. Darwin Dura, Davao del Sur Provincial Police Office spokesperson, said Hamdani Hasan was arrested in his house in Barangay Baybay, Malalag, through a search warrant issued by a regional court for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Dura said Hasan yielded two sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu during the search at about 5:30 a.m. The seized illegal drugs weighed 11 grams and valued at PHP175,000.
Meanwhile, members of the Davao del Sur's Police Provincial Intelligence branch arrested an alleged murderer, Rady Mindoro Cabales, inside a mall in General Santos City on June 29.
Cabales, who is facing two counts of murder, is listed as the most wanted criminal in the province, police said.
Police said Cabales fled Digos City and hid in General Santos City to avoid the murder charges against him. (PNA)
