14 drugs suspects nabbed in Bulacan ops

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Fourteen drug suspects were arrested in different anti-illegal drug raids conducted by the Bulacan police on Thursday and Friday.

Col. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan provincial police director, identified the arrested drug suspects as Leonard Estacio, Jerome San Pedro, Sherwin San Pedro, Jennielyn Cruz, Armida Deliva, Paul Cyrus Yap, Edwin Guevarra, Crisanto de Jesus, Roland Dave Espiritu, Ryan Sulit, Lloyd De Guzman, Norven Angeles, Miriam Redondo, and Nelson Pascual.

He said Estacio, together with Jerome San Pedro and Sherwin San Pedro, were caught while in the act of selling shabu to a police poseur buyer along McArthur Highway, in Barangay Wakas, Bocaue, Bulacan on Thursday.

He noted that 13 plastic sachets of shabu, buy-bust money, one unit of motorcycle, and tricycle were confiscated from the three suspects.

“The three suspects are known sources of illegal drugs in Barangay Wakas and its adjacent barangays of Bocaue,” he added.

During investigation, he said Estacio also admitted that they were responsible for the series of motorcycle theft incidents that transpired in Bocaue area and nearby municipalities.

Meanwhile, Bersaluna said the other 11 drug suspects were arrested on Friday by the Bulacan police in a series of operations in Baliwag, Guiguinto, San Rafael, Plaridel, Balagtas, and Pulilan.

He said confiscated from the 11 suspects were a total of 16 heat-sealed plastic sachets of shabu, two heat-sealed plastic sachets of dried marijuana fruiting tops, and buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination.

Criminal charges against the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court. (PNA)
