Senator Pia Cayetano
MANILA – Senator Pia Cayetano will head the Senate ways and means committee for the upcoming 18th Congress.
Senate President Vicente Sotto III confirmed this to reporters in a text message on Thursday.
“Sen. Pia Cayetano just made my life easier, she has agreed to be elected as Ways and Means Comm Chair!,” Sotto said.
Senator Sonny Angara currently heads the ways and means panel, but he will vacate the post to lead the Senate finance committee for the next Congress.
Sessions will resume in the 18th Congress on July 22. (PNA)
