24 'drug peddlers' arrested in two-day buy-bust ops in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan -- Twenty-four alleged drug pushers were arrested in the two-day anti-illegal drug operations conducted in this province Thursday and Friday.

Colonel Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, said the series of buy-bust operations were conducted in the cities of Malolos and San Jose del Monte and in the towns of Balagtas, Bulakan, Plaridel, Pandi, Bocaue, San Miguel, San Rafael, Obando, and Norzagaray.

Bersaluna identified the seven arrested drug suspects on Thursday as Mike Archides, Erwin Silva, Orlando Dela Cruz, Luisito Ortega, Nestor Ramos, Emil Espartero, and Alejandro Magbitang.

The 17 other drug suspects nabbed on Friday were Luis Reyes, Jocelyn Pineda, Elaine Galang, Roberto Baclayon, Val Dionisio, Alejandro De Juan, Noel Vilar, Lauro Loyola, Micco Velasco, Gil Dayao, Ruben Bernardino, Leviemar Mendiola, Eric Villanueva, Jito Quilojano, Alex Garcia, Armando Sto. Tomas Sr., and Vienson Capiral.

"A total of 82 plastic sachets of shabu and buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects during the two-day operations," Bersaluna said.

The suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were readied against the suspects. (PNA)
