SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique -- The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Antique will hold its annual search for Pantawid Exemplary Child 2019 at Robinsons Place.

Erlyn L. Garcia, Pantawid Antique Provincial Operations Officer, said in an interview Wednesday that the annual event, to be held on August 16, aims to recognize that children of the Pantawid household beneficiaries also have talents and skills if they have ample support.

“The contestants to the search will have their scrapbook judged in the morning and then a presentation of talents and interview in the afternoon of August 16,” Garcia said.

The scrapbook contains the candidate’s academic achievement, community involvement as well as their family profile. It serves as one of the criteria for judging.

The other criteria will be composed of their talent presentation, production number, and interview.

The search will gather contestants from eight towns of the province who had won in the elimination round that was held on August 5.

They came from the towns of Belison, Bugasong, Caluya, Laua-an, San Jose de Buenavista, San Remigio, Tobias Fornier, and Valderrama.

The child who wins in the search will represent Antique in the regional competition, still to be scheduled by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The prizes in the search will be PHP2,000 for the champion; PHP1,500 for the first runner-up and PHP1,000 for the second runner-up. Each winner will also receive a certificate and medal.

The province of Antique has 26,754 households enrolled with 4Ps. (PNA)
