DAVAO CITY -- Mexican brawler Maximino "Max" Flores arrived early in Manila on Sunday to face Carl Caesar Penalosa of San Carlos City at the TV5 Studio in Novaliches, Quezon City on August 25.

The 28-year Flores (24W-4L-1D, 17KO) will fight Penalosa (14W-1L, 7KO) for the International Boxing Organization World flyweight title, to be broadcast live on ESPN5 Philippines.

Flores made his second trip to the country. His first trip was to fight Milan "El Metodico" Melindo in Bacolod in 2016. Flores, however, lost by a technical decision in the seventh round.

In his recent bout, he TKO'd compatriot Jorge Miguel Hernandez in the first round in Tijuana, Mexico on November 10, 2018.
Flores promised to have a good fight with Penalosa.

The fight is promoted by Gerry Penalosa of Gerrypens Promotions, Inc. (PNA)
