Teacher, 2 others nabbed in drug ops in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY -- A public school teacher and two others were collared on Monday in a police drug sting in Naga City.

Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Police Regional Office (PRO5) spokesperson, said Tuesday Noemi Iglesia, 27, a public school teacher; Julius San Vicente, 27; both from Naga City; and Bien Patrick Pasibe, 23, of Canaman town, were arrested while selling suspected shabu to an undercover agent on Jacob St., Barangay Bagumbayan Sur at around 11:50 p.m.

The suspects yielded a plastic sachet containing an undetermined quantity of shabu when arrested.

They are now detained at the City police detention facility awaiting the filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Illegal Drug Act.

Meanwhile, a public school teacher died in a vehicular accident Sunday night on a highway in Sorsogon City.

Calubaquib identified the victim as Noel Rodulfo Dolorallas, 50, a public elementary school teacher, resident of Barangay (village) San Roque, Bacon District.

The victim was on his way home in Sitio Baribag, Barangay Bibincahan around 8:30 p.m. when he suddenly lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a concrete gutter on the opposite lane.

The victim died while on the way to the Sorsogon Provincial Hospital. (PNA)
