6 PNP execs reshuffled

MANILA -- Six senior officials were included in the latest round of reorganization among the top brass of the Philippine National Police (PNP), which took effect on Thursday.

PNP chief, Gen. Oscar Albayalde approved the new designations upon the recommendation of the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board.

Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel, former Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director was named Regional Director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 13. He replaced Brig. Gen. Gilberto Cruz who was designated as Acting Director for Integrated Police Operations – Northern Luzon.

Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Alfred Corpus, former Eastern Police District chief, was named PRO 12 Regional Director while Brig. Gen. Omega Jireh Fidel was appointed director of the PNP Engineering Service.

Brig. Gen. Rey Lyndon Lawas was designated as director of the Training Service; and Col. Ronnie Montejo was named acting QCPD director. 

The reorganization, triggered by the recent retirement of some PNP senior officers, will affect some key positions in the national support units and Police Regional Offices, Albayalde said. (PNA)
