DUMAGUETE CITY – A two-day License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) Caravan by the Police Regional Office-7 (Central Visayas) in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental reeled off Wednesday at the Osmeña Park, allowing locals to avail of its services instead of having to go to Cebu or Manila.

The caravan was requested by Tanjay City Mayor Rey Concepcion, Police Chief Master Sgt. Edilberto Euraoba III, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO), said on Tuesday.

Services being offered in the LTOPF Caravan include neuro-psychiatric examination, drug testing, and a Gun Safety Seminar, among others.

Applicants are requested to prepare 2x2 ID pictures, PHP900 for neuro exam fee, PHP300 for drug test fee, and PHP600 for Gun Safety Seminar fee, Euraoba said.

The LTOPF Caravan will cater to both applicants for new and renewal of gun licenses, he added.

The activity is also one of the services offered by the NOPPO as part of the efforts of the Negros Oriental Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NOTF-ELCAC) under President Rodrigo Duterte’s Whole of Nation Approach to end insurgency. (PNA)
