MANILA -- Several flights between the Philippines and Japan scheduled today were canceled and will be re-accommodated on Sunday, Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced on Friday.

The cancellation is due to the poor weather condition brought about by Typhoon "Hagibis", the airlines said Friday afternoon.

The canceled flights were 5J 5054/5055, 5J 5056/5057 Manila-Narita-Manila, and 5J 5062/5063 Cebu-Narita-Cebu.

Affected passengers may opt to rebook their tickets within 30 days, or refund their tickets.

Japan is bracing for "Hagibis", forecasts to pass close to eastern Honshu on Saturday. The typhoon is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds.

All Nippon Airways have also announced the cancelation of the Manila-Narita and Manila-Haneda flights supposedly scheduled on Saturday. (PNA)
