12 more Manila-Japan flights cancelled due to 'Hagibis'

MANILA -- A total of 12 flights were cancelled as of Sunday noon due to Typhoon Hagibis, Manila International Airport Authority's record showed.

These flights were:
-- Philippine Airlines (PR) 423 Haneda-Manila, PR 431 Narita-Manila, PR 427/428 Narita-Manila-Narita
-- Japan Airlines (JL) 741 Narita-Manila, JL 77 Haneda-Manila
-- All Nippon Airways (NH) 819/820 Narita-Manila-Narita, NH 869/870 Haneda-Manila-Haneda
-- Delta Airlines (DL) 180/181 Narita-Manila-Narita

There were 27 cancelled flights between the Philippines and Japan on Saturday.

Local carrier Cebu Pacific has earlier announced it would re-accommodate Sunday its Japan flights supposedly scheduled for Saturday.

"Hagibis" made landfall in Japan on Saturday night.

Power outages and floods due to the "most powerful typhoon" that hit Japan in decades have already been reported. (PNA)
