P54K shabu seized, 2 suspects nabbed in Dumaguete

DUMAGUETE CITY – Police arrested two alleged drug pushers and seized some PHP54,000 worth of suspected shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Looc here close to midnight on Tuesday.

A report from the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) identified the suspects as Alberto Racal Bolo, 33, of Zone 1, Barangay Looc, and Ghazzali Muñez Albani, 26, of Barangay Poblacion, Sta. Catalina in Negros Oriental.

The two were arrested around 11:50 p.m. by a joint team of police operatives and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Zone 2 after they sold suspected shabu to an undercover agent.

Both suspects are in the police’s watch list of suspected drug personalities.

Recovered from them were a total of eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of different sizes containing suspected shabu and a PHP500 marked bill used during the buy-bust transaction.

The suspected shabu was estimated to weigh around eight grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of PHP54,400.

Both suspects were detained for the filing of charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
