MANILA -- Air Intellipure Inc. intends to invest PHP250 million over the next three years as it launched in the Philippines its air purification technology, the first of its kind in the country.

“I think our growth (here) will be at least 50 percent year-on-year for the first three to four years. We think we will have fast growth in the beginning and a very strong growth after that, after we mature,” Nick Gitsis, founder of Air Intellipure in the Philippines, told reporters Tuesday.

The company has brought to the Philippines the Pure Wellness program, which is based on a patented surface and air purification technology, that removes air pollutants from indoor spaces and maintains a high sanitary state with regular service.

It utilizes a patented process that eliminates and protects against 98 to 100 percent of viruses, bacteria, and other irritants to create an environment that is beneficial for all people seeking healthy indoor spaces.

Gitsis said the firm will initially focus on the wellness tourism market, which spans hotels, resorts, and casinos, hospitals and clinics, fitness gyms and spas.

“In the Philippines, the main target is hotels. The Philippine hotel market is a USD1.63-billion market with 11.5 million users… (It is) growing at 10.7 percent this year and projected to 12.6 percent by 2023,” he said.

Gitsis said casinos here have also a “big need” for the air purification technology.

“Casinos have horrible smoking problems so they let their employees work in a smoking environment. And there are customers who come there, the non-smokers have to deal with the smoke. So those guys are very interested and they all approach us saying they want to learn more about the technology because these machines can have a heavy impact on the reduction of smoke,” he added.

The company will be introducing the indoor air cleaners to industries, government, and hospitals, he said.

After Metro Manila, Gitsis further said the technology will be launched in Metro Cebu and they are eyeing Davao next.

“Then, we will see how we grew and how fast we can move to other metropolis as well,” he said.

In addition to the Pure Wellness program, Air Intellipure is introducing its USA’s line of portable air purifier models in the Philippines through online and offline sales, with prices ranging from PHP47,000 to PHP89,000 and above. Customizable commercial models are also available for industrial users.

“Our pioneering service is projected to bring exponential growth to the company over the next year. Along with our Intellipure air purification system sales, we’re targeting revenues of PHP58 million by next year with further substantial growth by 2021,” he added.

Gitsis said Pure Wellness and the Intellipure range of products are “quickly expanding” throughout Asia due to the increased awareness about air pollution and the negative implications of the most dangerous pollutant –ultrafine particles.

In 2019, Intellipure also started operations in Japan, Korea, China, and India. (PNA)
